Accelerated Trauma Therapy for Meaningful, Lasting Change

Sometimes healing requires more than a weekly therapy session.

EMDR Intensives offer a focused, immersive approach to trauma treatment, allowing you to make significant progress in a shorter period of time. Rather than spreading the work over months of weekly appointments, intensives provide dedicated blocks of time to prepare for, process, and integrate difficult experiences with the support of an experienced trauma therapist.

Whether you are hoping to address a single traumatic event, longstanding patterns of anxiety, or beliefs that continue to keep you feeling stuck, EMDR Intensives provide the time and space to engage in deeper therapeutic work without interruption.

What Makes My EMDR Intensives Different?

My approach extends beyond traditional trauma processing.

As a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, Certified Integrative Mental Health Therapist, and EMDR-trained trauma specialist, I believe that lasting healing occurs when we support both the mind and the body.

Every EMDR Intensive incorporates nervous system regulation, body-based interventions, mindfulness practices, and resilience-building techniques that help prepare your brain and body for trauma processing. By establishing greater regulation first, many clients find that they are able to process difficult memories with increased confidence, stability, and emotional safety.

My goal is not only to reduce distress associated with traumatic memories but also to help you build the internal resources needed to sustain your progress long after therapy has ended.

What to Expect

Each EMDR Intensive is individually tailored to your goals and may include:

  • A comprehensive assessment and treatment planning session
  • Preparation and positive resourcing to strengthen resilience
  • Nervous system regulation skills to promote safety and emotional stability
  • Extended EMDR trauma processing sessions
  • Mindfulness and body-based regulation practices
  • Integration and personalized strategies to support continued healing between sessions

Intensives are typically offered in 2-, 3-, or 4-hour sessions, with scheduling customized to meet your needs. Some clients choose a single intensive, while others benefit from multiple sessions scheduled over consecutive days or several weeks.

EMDR Intensives May Be Helpful If You Want To:

  • Address trauma or distressing life experiences in a focused and efficient way
  • Reduce symptoms of anxiety, chronic stress, nightmares, or emotional overwhelm
  • Process experiences that continue to affect your relationships, confidence, or daily life
  • Move beyond persistent feelings of shame, fear, or low self-worth
  • Strengthen your nervous system’s ability to regulate stress and recover from difficult experiences
  • Complement ongoing medical care for stress-related or chronic health concerns by addressing the role of the nervous system in emotional and physical well-being

Is an EMDR Intensive Right for You?

EMDR Intensives are not appropriate for everyone. Prior to scheduling an intensive, we will complete a comprehensive consultation to determine whether this format is a good fit for your current needs, goals, and level of readiness.

Whenever possible, I begin by helping clients establish a foundation of nervous system regulation and emotional stability before engaging in deeper trauma processing. This preparation supports a safer, more effective, and more sustainable healing experience.
